Monte Cassino Students Raise $12,000 for Angel Tree

In September, 58 sixth graders were tasked with performing acts of service and odd jobs to raise money for the Angel Tree.  Students raked leaves, had bake sales, sold hand-made goods, singing birthday grams and performed other tasks and raised over $12,000 through the duration of the two-month project. 

 

On Tuesday, December 10^th, at 10:30am the students and their chaperones visited Woodland Hills Mall where selected just over 60 angels and purchased gifts for them.

 

In addition to emphasizing the importance of giving to those in need, students learn how to budget, prioritize, manage time and work as a team. This project is a long-standing Monte Cassino tradition.
