The Monte Cassino Early Childhood Learning Center boasts fun and meaningful traditions from field trips to dress-up days! Below is a sneak peek of some of the fantastic traditions hosted in the ECLC.
Three-Year-Old

Halloween Parade
Students wear Halloween costumes and parade over to the Monastery, gathering candy and delighting the Sisters.
Hibernation Day
Students wear pajamas to school and bring their favorite snuggly toy for stories and other hibernation activities.
Christmas Musical
Three- and four-year-old students sing and perform Christmas songs in a special presentation in the MPAC.
End-of-Year Picnic and Water Day
Students suit up in their water clothes and spend the day experimenting with water and other outdoor activities.

Catholic Charities Service Project
Students help fulfill needs at Catholic Charities.
Operatic Fairy Tale Presentations
Students learn and perform mini-operas based on fairy tales for students and parents.
Community Helpers Day
Parents visit classrooms to teach children about service organizations and professions that help our community.
Valentine's Day Post Office Field Trip
Students are escorted by their upper grade buddies and chaperones to visit the Utica Square Post Office to learn about how the mail system operates and mail their Valentines.
Kindergarten

Apple Orchard Field Trip
Students visit Livesay Orchards to learn about the operations of an orchard, pick apples and enjoy the fall season.
Fifties Day
Students celebrate the fiftieth day of school by dressing up in Fifties clothes and participating in fun counting- and math-related activities.
Rosary Making and Blessing
Students learn about and make rosaries, which are then blessed by a priest in a special ceremony.
Spring Musical
All kindergarten classes sing and perform in a musical celebrating the arrival of spring.
