Dear Parents,
As the principal of Monte Cassino Elementary School I am thrilled you are considering our school as your child's second home. As a parent of both two Monte Cassino graduates, I can assure you we meet and exceed the criteria of several qualities you will no doubt be looking for in a school:
1) Our faculty goes above and beyond to ensure your children feel safe and loved, and have the knowledge and skills needed to find success throughout their educational careers;
2) Our programming provides well-balanced opportunities for your children to flourish and discover subject areas and activities that they both enjoy and in which they can grow;
3) Our community is one in which you immediately feel the strong family and faith values that guide students to become all God intended for them to be - Saints.
To share a little about myself, I began my teaching career at Jenks Middle School after graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors in Education. After completing my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, I moved into my administrative role there as a Curriculum Coordinator. I then served as principal of Saint Catherine School for 10 years until I moved into my role as Monte Cassino Elementary Principal in 2012. I have varied experiences, and I have enjoyed them all. I truly feel that each has given me great opportunities to serve children in ways that only God could have known all those years ago when I discerned my vocation.
Monte Cassino School has a rich history and is blessed in many beautiful ways. Our
Benedictine Sisters who founded our school inspire us with living examples of the importance of prayer, hard work, knowledge and good zeal in one's life. Our faculty works to instill these values in our students also. I invite you to
explore our school, learn about our community, and ask questions. We would love to share our story with you so you can feel well-informed when making this important decision for your family.
Be a Saint!
